plate of birria tacos or quesadillas served with a side of consommé for dipping. The presentation appears appetizing with the golden, crispy tortillas filled generously, likely with seasoned meat like beef or lamb. There are also fresh accompaniments such as lime wedges and pickled onions, which should add a nice acidic contrast to the richness of the tacos. The consommé looks flavorful with herbs and a deep red broth, suggesting a well-cooked, spiced stock that's perfect for enhancing the taco experience. The melted cheese on one of the quesadillas suggests it's been griddled to a nice texture, adding another layer of indulgence. Overall, this meal seems satisfying, with bold flavors, contrasting textures, and the perfect balance of richness and freshness from the condiments. The meal likely delivers a comforting, savory experience with plenty of flavors from the slow-cooked meat and broth.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the entire world. I took my pal Buzz there (He is a geologist with 3 degrees and has been around the world.) and Buzz said that The EGGS BENEDICT were as good as The Plaza Hotel in NYC! How about that! Everything is first rate. The owner is the cook! The wait staff are friendly, human, and put up with us gringos with a smile. The Flan is first rate. It's a long trip for my son and I from Simsbury but we try to go at least once a month. This is a hidden jewel, discovered a few years ago when we couldn't get into Primavera Pub. Prices are moderate!

Food was excellent, very near home made. I ordered the skillet breakfast and it was wonderful. My wife ordered two eggs over medium and it was wonderful. Pictures included. The ambiance is to be expected but sweet. The patrons are blue collar and some locals, like a senior who was enjoying their breakfast with the newspaper. The service was very friendly, courteous and attentive.

Freshest & most delicious meals in this area that you will have. "Home-made" is just a phrase used by many places, but here it is very real. Excellent & thoughtful service in a cozy strip mall. Close to the borders of West Hartford & Hartford. Serving breakfast & lunch AND DINNERS!

My neighbors recommended Cisco's a while back and we finally had a chance to stop in for breakfast and it was q great experience. My son Aaron (15) and I love find good hole-in-the-wall places to eat,a dn Cisco's is now on that list. Cisco's is in a nondescript strip mall close to the Newington/Hartford line. Plenty of parking and we were seated right way. Service was quick and friendly, and the menu had plenty of good choices. I went with juevos, Aaron went for the steak burrito. What stood out right away was the chips and salsa! There is nothing like warm, homemade tortilla chips and Cisco's were perfect. Lightly salted, not oil, and the sals was pretty good too. We ate every chip! I'm not accustomed to the juevos they way Cisco's serves them, but they were delicious. Aaron powered through his burrito and called it one of the best he has had. They could definitely do some simple upgrades with furnishings and flooring to make the place a bit more hospitable, and despite the slightly outdated feel to the place, I would definitely recommend you try Cisco's for some good Mexican fare...and order extra chips!

Hadn't been to Cisco's in a few years and stopped by to check it out. Still a very small restaurant, I suggest ordering ahead if you're looking for takeout. Everything's authentic and prices are all good. They have a lot of good specials for breakfast. They're prices increased a little but nothing crazy. I got an omelette for 9$. The food is great, always pretty consistent. PS: I just took a lot of photos of their recent menu for those wanting to grab takeout.

Hole in the wall Mexican spot that is pretty unkempt, but that has tasty food. The menu is comrpised of a wide array of both American and Mexican foods. I believe it is mostly a breakfast spot, but they have some lunch options as well People were very friendly, but it took forever for us to get our food Pay at the counter I got a steak breakfast burrito and a Thai iced coffee. Both were very tasty 6

I don't have a good excuse for skipping Cisco's American Breakfast and Mexican Cuisine in Newington before this week. I've heard great things for years. Now having been, I'll definitely return. I do know WHY I've never visited Cisco's. I've never driven on that area of Hartford Avenue in Newington before, so it's "out of mind". Cisco's is in a small plaza in a mixed residential and industrial area to the east of Italian Gourmet Deli and Bakery (next to Yanni's) on Hartford Ave. I never knew there were businesses past Italian Gourmet Deli. Cisco's is small, but has a pleasant inside seating area. In addition to the obvious reasons for trying Cisco's, I'll give you an obscure one. If (1) you live in certain parts of Newington, Hartford, Rocky Hill, Berlin, New Britain or Wethersfield, (2) you're returning from an early morning coffee run at the Gastropark Perkatory, and (3) the Food places aren't open there yet, Cisco's may be a convenient takeout breakfast option as you drive home. That's what I did this week. The burrito was ready and well packaged when I arrived. Service was friendly. The tortilla was grilled and had great texture. The substantial filling included scrambled eggs, cheese, bacon, ham and potatoes, and the burrito was sprinkled with melted cheese. It was served with salsa verde, an orange hot sauce, lettuce and tomato on the side. The breakfast burrito was very good and the salsas were tasty as well. I'll definitely be back to sample other menu items such as breakfast sandwiches, lunch sandwiches, burgers, breakfast combos, pancakes, omelettes and French toast. Four Stars
